"Come and Sing" 2025
Now in its 4th year!
Saturday, 26 April is the date for our one-day
Musical Workshop at Thornford Village Hall, DT9 6QB
Followed by an Evening Concert
Participants will spend the day learning and rehearsing a programme of songs and choruses from film
and musical theatre, and performing them to an audience in the evening.
The programme includes choral highlights from:
"Mamma Mia"
"Phantom of the Opera"
"Mary Poppins"
and "Grease"
The Workshop will run from 10am - 5pm (with break for lunch)
The Evening Concert will begin at 7pm
The cost for the full day is £25 per person to cover hall and music hire, tuition and accompaniment.
No auditions needed, just enthusiasm.

Musical Director - Alice Dicker BMus(hons) DipABRSM
Alice studied at the Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama, and enjoyed many years afterward performing as a clarinettist and bassoonist, whilst also conducting a concert band. For the last seven years she has focused on choral conducting, singing and teaching and is the Musical Director for South Petherton Combined Arts Society Choir, Mid Wessex Singers and Yeovil Chamber Choir. Alice is the Singing Teacher/Vocal Coach at Huish Episcopi Academy and Strod College, has a handful of private students, and also works as a freelance singer and conductor.
Accompanist - Becky Dudley-Smith
Becky has been accompanist to the People's Choir, Yeovil for 10 years. A pianist for over 40 years, Becky also enjoys singing and playing saxophone and clarinet. She teaches piano at Leweston and Perrott Hill Schools as well as accompanying some of their choirs. Becky plays and sings in St. John's Church music group.
Parking is available at the Hall. Please bring your own lunch items.
